Last night was my first Tastefully Simple party as a consultant. Right now my host is just $5 shy of a $600 party. Everyone commented that I did a great job. I was really nervous when I started but as I got going I relaxed and everyone seemed to really have a good time.
Oh I am so excited about this new venture!!!

That is wonderful - congratulations! Sounds like you ended up with a really high total for your first party! Hopefully the hostess will bump it up with a purchase....does she get more stuff at the $600.00 level?

Hosts get about $10 for every $100 sold. She ended up with $70 in free product.
I have another party tomorrow night.

Miss Kitty, are you still enjoying your Tastefully Simple business? I'm looking for something to do from home to help supplement our income, and I LOVE their products, but I'm not too sure about trying to sell them myself. Just wondering if you had any opinions, tips, or hints.

I am really enjoying it. Our weather has been so bad here lately that I'm having some difficulty with cancellations but I invested in a booth at the Taste of Home Cooking school next week and plan to book out through June. That is the plan anyway.
I have several parties booked next month 2 hours away in the town I grew up in. It will be worth it though, they have no consultant down there.
I would recommend it if you:
1. love their products
2. willing to put in the work
3. love to talk and spend time with people
The money is definately good if you put in the time.

Tastefully simple is gourmet food that typically takes 1 - 2 ingrediants. It is a direct sales company which means you sign on as an independent consultant. It is a terrific way to make some extra money if you are willing to do the parties and make the contacts. I have some trouble yet cold-calling people but am working on it.
If I can be of more help, just let me know.
Here is their web site:
