Apparantly ds1's cat Smokey was in one. He has had a swollen cheek and a scab for a while, I had been cleaning the scab and putting a little peroxide on it daily and he has been eating and drinking fine...then last night dh says "Someone's bleeding!" when he found a trail on the floor and it turns out it was the poor cat. Took him in this morning and the vet shaved all the fur off that side of his face (and some of the whiskers!) and we found several puncture wounds consistant with a fight. They gave him an antibiotic shot and I have to give him a pill twice a day, but he should be okay...as long as the other cats don't make fun of the shave.:lol banner:

Oh - poor cat!! Do you have good luck with him taking pills? Our pets were always so crafty at rooting them out.
Any shaving of our cats made them feel so humiliated! They'd just hang their head and sulk.

Julie, When I saw the title I wasn't thinking about real cats fighting:lol banner: Sorry to hear about the kitties, hope they get to feeling better soon.
Ah, poor guy! I am sure he will be back to his old self in no time. Our little outside guy looks like he has had his share of scuffles. (Missing part of one ear.) Glad you were keeping an eye on him! :smiling:

Over the years I have become a pro at getting pets to take pills lol.:lol banner: He did spit it out twice last night but I did finally get it down. Gee, I only have to do that 12 more times :spin: He is enjoying a little more indoor time right now, lounging on ds's bed. Dh doesn't really like the cats to stay in too much, but is being more lenient for the injured warrior.
So glad he is enjoying his inside time! I bet he is eating up all the attention (except for the pills). I haven't tried it, but we were given this "pill shooter" thing. I am a bit scared to use it.
My dh is so the opposite. It is just killing him that Jack is outside. Jack adopted us last summer and we just haven't been able to get him "fixed" and shots yet.
