i have heard that mushrooms cause a meal to go bad if not consumed after the first day it is cooked. is that true of all mushroom sources? (fresh, dried, canned and cream soup?) can it be frozen and reheated later? if so what is the length of time it can be frozen?

I have never heard that about mushrooms. I know there are several dishes that I make that contain cooked mushrooms and they are delicious as leftovers.

Cream of mushroom soup in freezer meals works great, as do canned mushrooms although I've found the texture of mushrooms can change a bit.

Maybe someone else has heard this and will be more of a help! :)
