Well I'm down to 139 and can't seem to get it down anymore. I don't know what to do and I still need to lose at least 10 pounds. Any suggestions??

How do you know how many calories you need?

This may help

I try to stay between 1500 and 1800 calories a day. I know I would loose more quickly if I went lower , but I also know what that does to my metabolism. You have to figure out what works for you.. but I think its more important to focus on fueling your body with healthy foods than the amount of calories you take in, that way it becomes a way of life and not a diet. KWIM?

How tall are you.. you may be already at the wieght that is right for your body.

I checked and since I have a small frame I am supposed to weigh 117-130.

Well I have kind of taken a break from trying to lose weight. I am at 137 and since it's the holidays I will just keep walking and eating right but I'm not pushing myself to lose. Starting at the first of the year I will get back to working out more and try to get the rest of 10 pounds gone.

How are ya'll doing it during the holidays?

I'm going to keep going during the holidays, but I am not a big holiday food lover. I am hoping to reach my goal of 125 by January 1st. Then, I will go on maintenance.

Becky... My Emily is 5 ft 4.. and weighs 130 and is a size 6 juniors. and looks great.. and I am sure you do too! I would be very upset if she tried to become thinner. Dont be so hard on yourself..and dont get obsessed with a number on the scale. You are doing great! We do a lot of entertaining and being entertained over the holidays... so I will have to position myself near the fruits and veggie platters.

Your right Nancy!! I don't think I look bad but I just need to lose a few more pounds to fit into my old clothes but I'm not going to stress over it.

your body changes as you get older. i have a small frame and am 5'4". at 17, i weighed 105 and wore a size 3. at 19, i weighed 135 and wore a size 3 or 5, depending on the maker of the clothes. the extra 30 lbs was solid muscle from training horses, and exercise. at 36, i weigh 157, and wear a 10 or 12, occasionally an 8, depending on the maker of the clothes. i have a good 20 lbs to lose. i've lost 20 since the birth of my 4th child, 6 yrs ago. i didn't actually start trying to lose weight until last march. i've lost 11 lbs since then, but everyone i know tells me i look like i've lost much more. i have a waist again, and my legs are toned and hard, my weight is all upper body (apple) i'm on a plan to lose the weight and get fit, slowly. after 4 kids, even when i weigh 135, i'll not wear a size 5. maybe a 6/7. i understand this because my body has been through a lot in the last 15 yrs. what you weigh is not as important as your fitness level and body fat.

that said, if you do interval training, and try a new workout every couple of weeks, you'll keep your body guessing, and you will burn more calories and tone more efficiently than if you constantly do the same thing.
