My Mom
I just wanted to let you all know, that yesterday Heaven welcomed the sweetest woman in the world into it's gates. She went peacefully. She had maintained her peace throughout this entire process. We only had just over 3 weeks to wrap our minds around the fact that she was going to die from the cancer that had devoured her body. Her mind remained sharp and she was still our Mama until she lost consciousness on Wednesday. She had a STRONG spirit and the doctors were amazed that she had stayed with us through the night. Around noon yesterday they told us that she would not make it another 24 hours and about 2 1/2 hours later she took 3 very deep breaths and went to see her Lord and Savior. As hard as this is, we know that she would never want to come back to this earth after all she go to see and feel yesterday. Yesterday she was able to walk straight and tall, breath without difficulty and sing and laugh as loud as she wanted to. Heaven gained a beautiful angel and is a much funnier place now that my Mama is there. Oh what a family reunion she got to have. We will miss her for the rest of our lives, but know that one day we WILL see her again. That is one things she told us many times over these last few days and weeks, "I can't come back to you, but you can come to me." What a sweet blessing those words are.
Thank you for your prayers, the cards and messages. They have meant the world to me and to my family. I wish you all could have know her. She was amazing. Love to you all.
