dd1 made Varsity Dance Team ! now to figure out how to fundraise for it! I'm planning a yard sale for next weekend........any more ideas?

Avon has some good fund-raisers if you have a rep nearby.

I take it you have to pay some hefty fees....ugghhh.

You can also try selling things on ebay or craigslist. You can get better money than at a yard sale....in my experience. What I've done in the past is to pick a pile of items (old rocking chair, designer purse, motorcycle handlebars) and then do 1 or 2 a week (cause it can be a hassle) until they're all gone.

You could also have dd do some babysitting....

That is awesome Shawn! I know she is excited. Are you doing fundraisers just for her or for the team? We do breakfast fundraisers at church on Sunday mornings (once a month), the usual car wash, sponsorship letters (like to relatives "Would you sponsor me for $20 for camp" kinda things) Silent auctions. Bake sales, spaghetti dinners. Good luck!
