I brown 1 lb ground beef and chopped onion. Combine with cooked and drained elbow macaroni, 1-2 jars of Prego, drained can of mushrooms, sugar to taste. Simmer till warmed throughout.

My mom always browned chopped onion, celery and green pepper with a pound of beef, drained it, then added 2-3 cans tomato soup, salt and pepper. Blend together, simmer 10 minutes, and add a small box of cooked elbow macaroni.

And this is a recipe someone gave me, that is also good:

    Skillet Goulash
    1 lb. ground beef
1 env. Lipton onion soup mix
    3 cup uncooked elbow macaroni
    2 16-0z. cans tomatoes
    oregano, parmesan cheese
    2 cups water
    mozzarella cheese

Brown meat and drain. Add soup mix, oregano, tomatoes and water. Bring to boil. Stir in macaroni and simmer, covered, till macaroni is tender. Stir in parmesan and top with mozzarell

Oh man, this was my LEAST favorite meal my mom would make when I was a kid But, she didn't dress hers up any - hers just consisted of beef, onion, elbow macaroni, and tomato sauce, with some salt and pepper to taste.

Add tomato sauce, Rotel, and sugar to ground beef
Pour the mixture into greased casserole and then mix in the macaroni
Dot with cheese(if using Velveeta)if using shredded sprinkle over top
