Default Ebay- my online garage sale

I use ebay to get rid of stuff. I did it as a business from time to time but I didn't like the shipping side of it. Spent more time online than what I was getting out of it as well.

However from time to time I do use it to clean-out. Things that I think I might be able to rekindle some of the funds back. We normally put this money aside and use it for vacation or family fun.

I sell my homeschool curriculum when we are done with it, kids clothes, anything electronics and so forth.

I can so relate to that! I hate the shipping part too, unless I can ship Priority. With Priority I can ship from my house, but if it is curriculum or other books, I have to go to the post office for media mail. That part I don't like doing!

I really need to start some auctions - I have a ton of household stuff I could sell.

Candace, I have shipped books and such media mail from home. I usually just buy some cheap type envelopes from Walmart. I never go to the post office to ship anything from Ebay, unless it is really big. You can set up a pick up online with your mail carrier to pick it up from your door if it is too big to fit in the mail box.

Shipping used to get on my nerves but now that I have everything set up so it's easy to get things ready it's much easier and faster! Also like Crissy said you can let the post office come to you
I'll be really honest about my ebay and if I wouldn't have had it I don't know what we would have done for $$ when dh changed jobs and even though it's slow right now it still took care of some bills this month. So to me it has been worth it.

Heads up on the postal price increase/ebay. Last time I had to fix 90% of my international shipping when the price went up. What happened was it purged all my international choices. I had to individually edit over 100 listings and then I shipped by weight and I took a beating on the prices not coming up right. Hopefully they will not raise the cost of first class and priority as much this time.

Oh my other soap box. Have you ever thought that since online sales how many billions of people ship items that did not 5yrs and 10 yrs ago. Usps continues to get rich and yet continues to increase the price. I am not talking about the price for a stamp. Last time there were very high increases on delivery comf. 1st class and priority mail. As well as international.
