We stay home. My mom always said Thanksgiving was for our inlaws, and christmas by her. and since my hubby's mom lives far away, and we haven't had contact with his dad in 11 years, we stay home.

Yes, as long as it was edible to begin with. As a kid, we ate our rabbits , ducks and chickens, and they were named and pets. My husband's family always named their beef and ate them too.
