Default Beverly Lewis

I have been reading all of her books, they are set in Amish settings and the stories are about Amish families, fiction.......I love them so. I have been reading a book per day. Just can't put them down. Does anyone know of a good pioneer series or writer? thats my favorite time to read about I think. makes me grateful for all I have. ( conveiniences)

My favorite books to read are the pioneer, frontier and inspirational books. Some of my favorite authors are

Janette Oke
Lauraine Snelling
Susan Page Davis

There are several others, but I can't think of them right off hand. What helps me when I'm searching for a book, is to go to Amazon.com and check out there books. You can type pioneer fiction, ect. and they will give you a huge list.

My mom just loaned me some Beverly Lewis books, "Annie's People" books 1,2 & 3. Has anyone read these? They look good, maybe I will start on them next!

Have you read any Lori Copeland? She does a "Brides of the West" series and lots of others. She was a secular author but started writing Christian books in 1995. I like her books!

Have you read the Wagons West series? There are a LOT of them but they are about the settling of the west. Pretty good!

Yep, I was going to suggest Janette Oke too - she's one of my favorites.

How awesome that you're reading a "book a day"...??? That's the kind of book I want to write! I'm hoping to finish mine for the middle grade level REALLY soon I'm with you; I love reading/writing about a past era. My book is set in 1947, back in a simpler time
