Default Hubby's Laundry

My husband works a job where he comes home pretty dirty/greasy/smelly most days. His work clothes have their own laundry basket.

For the longest I've been trying to find some sort of laundry additive to cut the grease (and the smell) out of his clothes. Even extra laundry detergent wasn't getting it. A couple of weeks ago I was rummaging around under my kitchen sink and saw the bottle of Pine-sol and it said 'cuts grease' so I gave it a try. I put about 1/2 cup into the wash with the detergent and it worked! Not having to spend all that extra of the special detergent additives they have at the store was great. Those things are expensive.

Anyway...I thought I'd pass that one along. Especially while I'm in the middle of right now.

I have used Pine Sol as well but dh said he didn't want to smell like a pine tree!! Ha ha!!! So I switched over to plain vinegar for the smell and if his shirts have grease on them I will put dishwashing liquid on them (I use Dawn and it works really well!) Don't you love when you find another use for what you already have?!

Thanks for the pine-sol idea.

It seemed that his greasy clothes got more holes in them when I used Dawn???
