I've been needing a thermostat for a while, so I've drifting from store to store in order to find one. Just last week, I purchased a Honeywell THX9321R5000 (normally over $330) for only $209 on clearance. This is VERY much a fancy dancy piece. I can't believe I got it for that cheap. It was a steal!!!!

Nice to meet you too!

Last week I went searching with ds1 for him some jeans. Now, exactly how do you find jeans for a 15 yr old that are a 28" waist and 32" inseam??? The answer: You can't. They don't make 'em. We looked at Wal-Mart, Meijer, Sears, Kohl's, a couple of odd places in the mall, and ended up at JCPenney. They had two huge racks of jeans 80% off. Not very hopeful, I started picking up some 29" x 30" for him as they don't make 29"x32" in anything that is less than $50 per pair. There was one pair of black jeans that fit him. They even had some of the same size, brand, and fit in blue, but they wouldn't fit. Only the black. I look at the price. $44 regular price. Sale price..... $8.77!!!! I got him four pair and paid less than what one pair would have cost. Total spent: $37.54. Total savings... $140.92.

Came across another one. I love Kroger's "manager's specials!" They redid their lunchmeat section and needed space, so they marked a ton of beef bologna, turkey, and ham down to 25 cents! My freezer door is full.

Also I was at Kroger last night and looking through some clearance and there under some things was a stack of Ball's Blue Books! They were normally $6.99. I got one for $2.50. I've been wanting one for a long time!!

Congratulations Lisa on the great find for jeans. You're right...that is a really tough size to find. I have some tall, skinny guys myself and I can vouch for not being able to readily find stuff.

I also have a son who wears a size 16 shoe. OMG, another really tough product to find. We have had some awesome luck with eBay.

We can usually get that size there and the shoes only cost 10 or 15 bucks. Can't beat that with a stick!

Take a look around there...it may just help.
