|Make your own Baby Wipes! Take strong paper towels (like Bounty)
and cut into sections that fit into a wipe box. Bring 2 cups of water to a
boil. Stir in 2 Tbsp. of Baby Shampoo and 2 Tbsp. of Baby Oil. Pour
mixture over paper towels in wipes box and let cool! These are not only less
expensive but they smell so wonderful.

Mix the following ingredients together: 1
cup salt, 4 Tbsp. oil, 2 cup flour, 4 Tbsp. Cream Tartar, 2 Cup water, food
coloring. Store in airtight bag.
|You can find great deal on used children's clothes at Thrift stores, garage
sales, consignment shops and eBay! This is great if you like designer
labels and don't want to pay the designer prices.
|Consider using cloth diapers instead of disposable.
|Do you have lots of crayon pieces? Don't throw them away - melt them
all together in a muffin tin to make a fun scribble crayon with beautiful
|Simple Decongestant: Boil 4 -5 cups of water and add 2 Tbsp.

|Homemade Silly Putty: (also known as
Flubber!) Mix 3/4 cup water and 1
cup Elmer's glue. Then in separate bowl mix 1 cup water with 1 tsp.
Borax. Add the 2 mixtures together. Store in Ziploc baggie in refrigerator.
|Playdough: Mix the following ingredients in a pan and heat until
playdough is formed: 2 cups flour, 1 cup salt, 2 Tbsp. Cream of Tartar, 2
cups water and 1 T. oil. Once the mixture is firm let it cool. You can
then add food coloring to color the playdough. You do have to be careful
to let the mixture cool carefully before allowing the children to handle it.
Bounty now makes paper towels in a
pull-up dispenser- great for wipes of all types. I saw them at a
closeout store, hopefully they haven't been test-marketed and
discontinued. Also, if one saws a roll of Bounty towels in half
and removes the cardboard core, paper towels can be pulled up from the
center and dispensed from an old wipes container in a similar fashion
to the usual. These hints help with homemade wipe use by
reluctant spouses, and ingredients can be varied (try tea tree oil and
vinegar) for non-toxic kitchen and bathroom surface disinfectant
